Carmel Valley is located in Northern San Diego and is situated in a area that allows for its residents a coastal living lifestyle.  Literally minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches in California, Carmel Valley is a great place to not only spend your summers but to live year round.  There is no other comparison to the days that are spent working, living and playing in our community and if you talk to any local resident, they will tell you that this place is a great place to raise a family.  The community is known for some of the best schools in the Nation, and for active lifestyles.
It is comprised of commercial buildings, residential units and other business buildings including restaurants and hotels.

The KNOW In San Diego & MBK Associates is growing and we’re looking for a creative and hard working intern.

Based in San Diego, California The KNOW In San Diego is a new movement in Social Media, PR and Marketing.

MBK Associates is a PR & Marketing firm with a large EVENT based business.

We want an intern who is interested in all aspects of Event Planning, Social Media and PR.  In addition you will have exposure to Video Production and Event Production.

Qualifications: • Junior or senior undergraduate or graduate student• Pursing a degree in Event Planning, PR, Marketing and Communications or related studies• Strong writing • Excellent communication and phone skills• Enjoys meeting new people Strong computer skills: Excel, Mail    Chimp, Constant Contact, Adobe, Publisher• A strong knowledge of the Internet Responsibilities: • Write Press Releases• Social Media for Clients• Event Management/Planning• Client Communication •

Interns should be available 15-20 hours a week (days and times are flexible within a traditional work week of M-F 8:30am-5:30pm).

Periodically available for evening events. This is an unpaid internship.

Jean Karam is an internationally recognized and trained Decorative Artist, specializing in Venetian plaster; custom wood finishes; glazing; murals and trompe I’oeil; faux bois and strie finishes. Combining masterful techniques with a commitment to excellence and perfection, Jean Karam has enhanced interiors of both homes and businesses in Southern California, Hawaii, Singapore, Indonesia, France, and the Middle East.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Jean Karam began showing a true and inner talent for art at a very young age. Inspired and guided by his artistic father, Karam began entering art shows while still in primary and middle school. He studied fine arts upon graduating high school. During the war, Karam went to Paris, France, where he continued his studies at Institut de Crear and earned a diploma in Decorative and Theater Arts. It was here that he honed his skills, applying his fine arts background to the decorative arts.
In 1990, Jean Karam moved to the San Diego area and within a short time made a name for himself as both a fine artist and custom finisher. He opened a faux finishing school at the San Diego Design Center, where he also had his own art studio, and began selling art both locally and internationally. After a half-year sabbatical in France, Karam returned to San Diego in 1994, and continued to build his fine art and decorative art business.
More than a painter or finisher, Jean Karam also uses his design skills to enhance the entire concept of a home. He collaborates with builders and designers to create a cohesive design concept throughout. Clients rely on him for advice in maintaining integrity of design throughout their homes. Many of his clients have become trusted friends, and have entrusted multiple homes and/or remodels to Karam. All I have to say is “Wow!”

Last night’s Girl Power event was beautiful, well-organized, well-managed and successful!

Hopefully, very successful on the financial end of things.

Leigh, David and Mallory – the house was amazing, the valet worked perfectly and the event was big enough to look like a huge success, but small enough to still feel intimate.  Thank you so much for opening up your home to the cacophony the is inevitable when something of that magnitude descends on your personal life.  What an amazing, amazing contribution you have made to the Jenna Druck Center.  On top of it Leigh, you did a beautiful job as our emcee – you were eloquent, succinct and well-spoken.  You represented us well, and you were adorable on top of it in your festive Girl Power dress!  Thank you.

Mary Beth and Crew – you truly are experts in the event planning area.  The logistics were well-done and the set-up was perfect, the food and beverages were awesome!  Mary Beth, your “mark” of perfection was all over everything, and you and Leigh really did team up like sisters to get the heavy-lifting done and assure a success.

Thank you. Miryam, Leanne and Chris – everything went beautifully and you each played a critical role leading up to, during and throughout the event.  A special call-out to Miryam, who appropriately pushed us all to buy tickets and tables and to invite individuals who would be willing to potentially make a contribution.  Thank you for being the wonderful team of professionals that you are!

Ken – as always, you did a wonderful job as our founder, speaking from your heart about Jenna, about what we stand for, and about the legacy of Jenna.  You did a wonderful job, so thank you.

Randi – was fabulous and someone absolutely needs to tell her that she  is amazing and did a wonderful job of entertaining, creating that festive “feel” and doing her part to make the program wonderful.  She was awesome, and we owe her our thanks as well.

Volunteers, chefs, attendants – what a blessing.  They were all wonderful, represented us well and they were there for the right reasons.  They also deserve our thanks.

Board members – for those who were there, thank you for buying tickets (and tables) A special call out to Teofla and Sheri for going above and beyond!  A special call out to Shana for all of her amazing support!  Some friends of mine who were there now want to book a night at Paradise Grille after meeting you, so here comes some business!
