Meet DJ Will Gill of Rezident Management Group!

I have had the chance to meet DJ Will Gill and really am blown away by his professionalism and talents!  I asked DJ Will Gill a few fun questions to learn a bit more about him.  Check it out!

1.  Where were you born?- Detroit, MI

2.  Your favorite thing about living in LA?- The opportunity for chance, luck, and success happens everyday.

3.  What is your education, and where did you go to school?  – Michigan State University

4.  Who is the most important person in your life?  – Ive learned that the most important person needs to be me. Putting everyone else first only results in an incomplete me.

5.  Why do you find yourself in this field of employment?  – In college, I used to DJ to pay the bills. The MSU Dance Team contacted me about combining a few different songs to make some mixes for their routines. I had no idea how to do that other than hooking up two turntables and pressing record. A kid only floor gave me a copy of his music production software (to remain unnamed), and I saw the ease of use in this program. The team loved it and referred me to the MSU cheerleading team. However with their routines, they needed sound effects, kick drums, and claps placed at various points in the mix. That was technically the first time I laid down any beats or composition. 6.  How old were you when you decided what career you wanted to have?-17

7.  Who and what is your inspiration for what you do?- The world and how they leave life behind when they’re on the dance floor.

8.  What directly influences your work today?- The network of associates and affiliates Ive been blessed with here in Los Angeles. Its a machine in which everyone has their role. We all support each other. If one person isn’t at their peak performance, the machine doesn’t work.

9.  If you could describe yourself using three words:  What would they be?- Humble. Self-Motivated. Is that 3? If not, optimistic.

10.  Favorite food?- Pad That Noodles with chicken with extra peanuts.

11.  What is your favorite place that you have traveled to?- Aruba

12.  Have you received any awards?- I received an award from the mayor of Los Angeles for humanitarian efforts in south central.

13.  Has there been a time in your life when you felt like giving up and what changed your mind?-No. Never. The universe is infinite with possibilities. Ask. Believe. Receive. aka pray, have faith, and be blessed.

14. What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?- Each milestone crossed, I feel accomplished. Elementary school. High School. College. MTV. Los Angeles…

15. What are your goals, and where do you hope they will lead you to in the future?- Poetically speaking: Making the world feel through melody and dance through rhythm. Professionally speaking: Securing a long term publishing deal.
